Analysing trends in the art market in recent years, there has been a renewed interest in pre-short-century art, with collectors' attention increasingly focused on the precious, unique and singular object. There is also a renewed sensitivity for furniture that enjoys the ancient-modern mix, where an informal canvas is counterbalanced by a neoclassical sculpture, just as a piece of designer furniture can dialogue with a 16th-century portrait.
Art-Rite's Old Masters and XIX century Art department, under the guidance of Attilio Meoli, Art-Rite's Managing Director, and which, since its years at Finarte Casa d'Aste, in the days of Casimiro Porro, has benefited from the friendly advice of Dr. Marco Riccòmini, art historian, aims to study and offer in its auctions ancient paintings and drawings as well as objects of applied art, carpets and fine fabrics.
The aim is to enhance and highlight every single lot to meet the choices of the collector and the art dealer, emphasising the department's versatility in offering goods on the market by auction or private treaty, guaranteeing maximum confidentiality and professionalism.
